About:
Celebrating Excellence: 2026 7-SEAS Workshop and 20th Anniversary of LABS
Following the successful 2024 NASA/ASIA-AQ airborne mission, the international scientific community continues to advance the 2024-2026 7-SEAS/Urban-AQ (Urban Air Quality) initiative. To further foster data exchange and regional collaboration, Taiwan is proud to host the 2026 7-SEAS Working Meeting.
This upcoming event marks a significant milestone: the 20th Anniversary of the Lulin Atmospheric Background Station (LABS). As a pivotal "downwind receptor" within the 7-SEAS regional monitoring network, LABS has spent two decades meticulously documenting the physical and chemical processes of biomass burning and the long-range transport (LRT) of atmospheric pollutants across Southeast Asia. This long-term database remains indispensable for studying regional environmental impacts and climate dynamics.
The "2026 7-SEAS Workshop and 20th Anniversary of Lulin Atmospheric Background Station (LABS) " is tentatively scheduled for July 13–17, 2026. We invite international researchers and stakeholders to join us in discussing the latest Urban-AQ findings and celebrating twenty years of LABS's contribution to global atmospheric science.
